                Self-actualization

Self-actualization is one of the needs in Maslow's hierarchy of
needs.   It is important to define self-actualization.
Self-actualization is an important concept in psychology.  What
is self-actualization?

Self-actualization Definition:

Self-actualization reflects personal growth in which we
achieve our true potential.

Self-actualization Example:

A person may realize that he or she has the ability to write
and decides to write a novel.  The decision to write the novel
can be viewed as reflecting the need for self-actualization.
My book, Finding Meaning (third edition)
contains ideas about finding meaning in life,
adversity, and work.
